Moreover, the use of the fuel, through improved energy efficiency, is enabling the company to remain competitive. Cementos Alfa receives environmental approval for Mataporquera quarry09 April 2018, Published under Cement NewsSpain’s Ministry of Environment has approved the expansion of the Mataporquera quarry, submitted by Cementos Alfa. With the approval the life of the quarry, where Cementos Alfa exploits some 0.6Mta of limestone and marl reserves for cement production, has been extended for a new period of 30 years.
